Stalin's Daughter Oktoberfest EP

Philadelphia punk rock from 1988. One reviewer called them "The Most Hated Band In Philadelphia", a badge the band wore with pride. Outspoken vocalist Rick D said what he thought, and the band didn't play scene politics. Rick went on to be a respected promoter at clubs such as The Firenze, Upstairs at Nicks, and The Tritone before his untimely demise several years ago. Jim, Dan and Rush all went on to join Lovegutter, who still do occasional gigs today.

Dr. Know - This Island Earth

Excellent 1986 release on Death Records from this early Nardcore/crossover band. At one time featuring former child actor Brandon Cruz on vocals, but he is not on this LP.

Something I found interesting, from wikipedia's entry on Dr. Know... "Former lead singer/songwriter Kyle Toucher now works as a visual effects/digital artist in Los Angeles, CA. He has done work on TV series such as Battlestar Galactica and Star Trek Voyager as well as in movies such as Serenity and Van Helsing." Island

Oh no! Not another punk music blog!

In my quest to find mp3's for some of my old punk lp's, I kept coming across certain albums that I couldn't find anywhere... either no one else had them or no one had taken the time to post them. Yet some, like F's "You Are An EP", and the Corpsicles "RU12" command high prices on ebay. So basically what I'm trying to do with this blog is make available whatever I couldn't find anywhere else... I don't know too much about the band bio's or histories, so feel free to fill that in. This is all about the music.
